Council has commenced the preparation of a new Local Environmental Plan (LEP), to apply across the whole of the new Shire of Greater Hume, and replace the existing planning instruments. It is aimed to complete this process within 18 months. As part of the preparation of an application for funding to undertake the preparation of the new LEP, council is seeking to engage the community to assist in identifying planning issues in the Shire that need to be addressed in the preparation of a new LEP.
